Really wish they'd have had a bigger budget to try and pull off something this large, but points for trying when others would've given up! To start with, I really enjoyed the arc of the story, or rather, the way in which the arc unfolded. The film starts off with this woman, alone in a small ship, shooting far away from the earth and then goes into detail on what's happening and why. I also REALLY liked that it made you think and didn't just lay everything out for you. No spoilers, but my favorite part had to be the hair-cutting scene. I'll just leave it at that. I also really like the SFX for the film and despite only being in a few places, I think they fit in really well! Especially in the newscasts where the characters keep up with events in the world just like we would. Which brings me to another point, where the main characters aren't super important-only one who can save us types, but rather ordinary people trying to get by as best they can and figuring out what is really important to them. Would highly recommend to anyone into truly independent filmmaking and the awards this won are well deserved!
