Richard Hearne is happily churning our children's stories for the 'Teenager" comic, when he encounters Margaret Rutherford - and is soon knee deep in a rousing crime conspiracy to pinch the secret recipe for "the MacAlister" - a legendary Scotch whisky - which is closely guarded by James Robertson Justice, so she can invest the proceeds in her schools that benefit youngsters all still recovering from the after effects of WWII. It's a simple, daft comedy with plenty of scope for the two stars to do exactly that - well complimented by JRJ, Dora Bryan and Sid James. John Guillermin must have had the easiest job directing - just sit back and let the cast do their job - and they did it well.
